www.jamesflarson.com is accessible again

Just a quick note to readers of this blog.   My personal website, www.jamesflarson.com is now accessible again.  I'm still not sure why it was being blocked, but am glad to see that it can now being accessed from within Korea.

  1. Hi, I am wondering if you can share with us how you have the block removed?

I am managing a website hosted in the US. The site is owned by a US company which has customers all over the world.

Our clients in Korea have not been able to access our site in the past couple of weeks. Since no one in our team can read Korean, including the site owner, myself, and our hosting company's tech support staff... we cannot understand any of the screen grab they send over (they are all in Korean).

Is there something we can do on the US end to correct this problem?

Thank you in advance for any advice you can share with us.

  2. I am wondering if you can tell us how you get the block removed?

I am managing a site hosted in the US (www.brentanofabrics.com). The company who own the site is also US based but they have clients all over the world.

Their clients in South Korea have not been able to access their website for the past two weeks.
They said that they received the "Server cannot be found" message, when trying to access the site.

There has been no report of any server issue or access problem from other countries.

Do you have any suggestion on what we can do in the US to correct this problem?

Thank you in advance for your help

  3. I still don't know for sure what the problem was or how the block was removed. I (1)did ask one of our Korean staff members to help by looking into this and (2) simultaneously I contacted my ISP in the United States. It could have been that the ISP detected and removed malware coming from that IP address, so the block here was removed, but I'm not yet certain.
